Sandia en Galeria Nautilus!!

Hace poco más de un mes me contacto Anabel que es la dueña de la Galeria Nautilus en Ensenada, B.C. bueno el caso es que ella me habia comprado un dibujo hace un tiempo y ahora me invitaba a vender los monitos de Sandia en su galeria, y le envie una pequeña serie de “magos de la naturaleza”, parece que ya casi todos encuentran un nuevo hogar, y los pueden encontrar en esta dirección: Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas 1392-3 Ensenada B.C Mex. C.P. 22880 Nautilus Galeria de Arte.

Gracias a Anabel por invitarme y por enviarme las fotos, ya que no he tenido oportunidad de visitar la galería.

A month ago I was contacted by Anabel the owner of Nautilus Gallery located in Ensenada B.C. she bought me a little drawing a few years ago, and now she invited me to sale Sandia’s plushes in her gallery, so I send a serie called “wizards of nature”, it seems that almost all already found a new home, you can found them in this address: Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas 1392-3 Ensenada B.C Mex. Ex Libris Elylu

Aqui va el resultado de otra invitación, este es un proyecto llamado Amor Libro, y la idea principal es mantener vigente el uso de los Ex Libris –vocablo latino que significa de los libros de –son cédulas de papel que se adhieren a las guardas de los libros o en la parte interna de alguna de sus tapas y que denotan no solo propiedad, sino un gran aprecio por los libros que se poseen.

Creo que si yo fuera un animal sería un caracol o tortuga, algo chiquito y con caparazón que anda lento pero ve de cerca aquellos detalles que muchos pierden de vista, además me gustó la idea de que los caracoles comen hojas y básicamente eso es lo que hago cuando leo un libro.

Y como si me gusta leer y tengo una pequeña colección de libros, decidí imprimir unos sellitos en adhesivo craft y ahora parezco loca cortando y pegando en cada libro que me pertenece.

Here’s the final piece for another collaboration project, this one is called Amor Libro (Book love in spanish) and the idea is to preserve the use of the Ex Libris, is a Latin phrase, meaning literally, “from the books.” It is often used to indicate ownership of a book, as in from the books of… or from the library of…Usually is a bookplate which identifies the owner of the book into which it is pasted.

I think that if I were an animal, I would be an snail or a turtle, something little with shell that moves very slow but is able to see details that others can’t see.

I love to read and I have my collection of books, so I decided to print out this seals on a craft paper adhesive,

so now I look crazy cutting and sticking on every book I own.

La bota…loteria!

Hace un par de meses fui invitada por Rosalba Jaquez (ilustradora y tatuadora del D.F.) a participar en un proyecto que ella coordina, se trata de un libro que recopilará interpretaciones de las cartas de lotería mexicanas, el proyecto es muy especial por que las ganancias de sus ventas serán para apoyar a una casa hogar de niñas en Aguascalientes, de hecho otra característica es que todas las piezas sean realizadas por mujeres, la idea es re-interpretar la carta y sumarle nuestra visión de la mujer, su lucha, orgullo, amor, etc.

En cuanto tenga más datos del avance del libro lo postearé, espero que sea un link a un sitio o blog del proyecto por si estan interesados en saber más .

Mi carta fue la bota, una bota mágica… y una niña soñadora. Juntos llegarán a cualquier lugar quieran y vivirán aventuras difíciles de creer, pero todas ciertas. :)

A couple of months ago I was invited by Rosalba Jaquez (illustrator and tattoo artist living in Mexico City) to participate in a project that she’s building up, and it’s about a book that collect interpretations of the mexican lotto cards, made by women artist. The project is so special ’cause the sales profits will be donated to a girls’ orphanage in the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico. The main idea of the reinterpretations is to add our vision about women, their proud, strength, love, etc.

I’ll be posting news about the book as soon as they inform me, hopefully a link to a web site or blog of the project if you’re interested to know more about it.

My card was the boot, a magic boot…and a dreamer girl. Together they’ll arrive to any place they want, and will live adventures hard to believe but all true.

ok, that was fun and tired, as always a lot to see, a lot to wait, lines, people, lines of people, costumes, lunch time, pictures, people trapping other people in the corridors uff! any way I just wanted to pick some giant mameshiba, and squeeze it until my arms get hurt… Oh! and that silly addictive blind box, you never get what you want, but I still love Marshall.

ok, eso fue divertido y cansado, como siempre mucho que ver, mucho que esperar, lineas, gente, lineas de gente, disfraces, lonche, fotos, gente atrapando a más gente en los pasillos, uff! de cualquier forma yo sólo quería agarrar un mameshiba gigante y apachurrarlo hasta que me dolieran los brazos…Oh! y esas tontas adictivas blind box, nunca te sale el que quieres, pero aun amo a Marshall.
