here’s another test with watercolors, in fact this was the first one I started but I decided to leave it in second place to finish it with more calm, and this is how it came up. I used a bit of acrylic for the highlights. I love the way Dientito turned out super furry and big.
Today I’m cold and i just want tons of chocolate. Instead that I’m starting a new watercolor for a friend of mine who just get married. He loves bikes, elephants and of course his wife, I’m looking forward for the results.
By the way this is the original version. Pencil and photoshop colored.

aqui esta otra pruebita con acuarelas, de hecho esta era la primera pero la deje en segundo lugar para acabarla con más calma, y pues así quedo. use un poco de acrilico para las luces y me encanto como Dientito quedo bien peludillo y grandote.
Hoy tengo mucho frio y sólo quiero mucho chocolate. Pero en vez de eso empezaré una nueva acuarela para un amigo que se acaba de casar. Le encantan las bicicletas, los elefantes y por supuesto su esposa, ya quiero ver como queda al final.
Por cierto esta es la versión original. A lápiz y coloreado en photoshop.
I’ve been experimenting with watercolors for the second part of my series called fenomenal, I feel comfy with acrylics but is time to add more taste to my technique, and watercolors are so light an manipulative, still I have so many technical issues to resolve one brushstroke at a time. But I’m not really thinking about it I feel free when I’m painting no matter what, the advance will come with practice.

He estado experimentando con acuarelas para la segunda parte de mi serie fenomenal, me siento muy agusto con los acrilicos pero siento que es tiempo de enriquecer mi tecnica, practicando con otra cosa y las acuarelas son tan ligeras y maleables, aunque aun tengo muchos detalles técnicos que resolver pincelada a pincelada. No lo estoy pensando mucho, cuando empiezo a pintar soy libre y sé que con la practica avanzaré.
now the I’m living with Dientito my little shih-tzu I cannot resit to make some studies of this lovely breed, they’re like half ewoks and half gremlins, so cute and super warriors, so here’s the first entry for this series, also a picture of the Dientito’s family and some general info.
Name: Diente de León (means Dent de Lion, in spanish), but we call him Dientito, its a diminutive.

Loves: Belly rubs, runs like flash to chase him and chew his rope bone.

ahora que estoy viviendo con Dientito mi pequeño shih-tzu no me puedo resistir a hacer algunos estudios de esta hermosa raza, son como mitad ewoks y mitad gremlins, lindos y super guerreros, asi que esta es la primera entrada de esta serie, también una foto de la familia de Dientito e información general.

estoy haciendo pruebitas con acuarelas y aprovechando mi nueva caja de luz, este es un dibujito que hice unos días atras pero lo habia coloreado en photoshop, asi que ya veremos como queda esta versión.
